No. 46 The Holm-DeAngelis Barn

Barn Type : Yankee

Barn Type – Yankee                                          Built:  Around 1840 This is a 1½ story, Yankee style barn located on the south side of Church Street in the center of Belmont Village.   Clad in vertical barn board, with a newly added metal roof, it can easily be viewed from the road with a large Maple Leaf Quilt pattern painted on the front.  It has three bents and a somewhat unique five-sided ridge beam. The original braces, connecting the posts to the top plate, were removed at some point in the past, but were replaced in 2019 as part of a larger restoration project funded, in part, through the Vermont Historic Preservation Barn Grant program.
